Sajiva Coffee and Ceramics, Karawaci

Sajiva Coffee and Ceramics, as the name suggests, is a cafe and a shop that sells ceramics. Located in Karawaci, this cafe is very spacious and lovely.

This post is going to be without pictures because I accidentally formatted my memory card without backing it up. So, I lost all my pictures but I will try to be as descriptive as possible.

I was very amazed by the interior of this cafe, from the furniture to the menu on the chalkboard. The cafe features a wooden interior with marble tables and an open coffee kitchen where I could peek at the barista preparing my coffee. The coffee shop lies on the first and second floors of the building. The third floor is a ceramic gallery. The choice of brick walls and home-like furniture work really well in creating a relaxing ambience for brunch or coffee.

The tables near the entrance are my favourite spots as there are lots of light flood onto the these tables. As you go inside, the area has lesser light.

The food menu here is limited to only pasta, starter and desserts, but certainly created to maintain the quality. I decided to try Spaghetti Carbonara, Shiu May and Char Siu Pao. The only thing I was dissapointed with was that it took around 35 minutes for all the food to be served.

Macchiato IDR 20k
When I ordered the macchiato, the barista did inform that it would be served in a tiny cup so I was not surprised by how really really tiny the cup was when it came. It was served in a handmade ceramics cup by Sajiva, which can also be found in various coffee shops in town. The coffee taste was relatively strong and bold.

Spaghetti Carbonara IDR 45k
If you like creamy carbonara, this is definitely for you. The bacon, cream and parmesan cheese made the spaghetti sauce absolutely heavenly. Not to mention, it was very fragrant.

Shiu May IDR 24.9k and Char Siu Pao IDR 24.9k
It is uncommon for a coffee shop to offer dimsum. Nonetheless, an array of dimsums by Dim Sum Inc are offered here. I opted for their Shiu May and Char Siu Pao and all I could say was both dishes were good.

Overall, it is safe to say that I definitely recommend trying Sajiva out. I really like their dimsums and carbonara pasta. This is probably the place I would happily return to.

Make sure to take a few pictures on this signature wooden entrace before entering the coffee shop!
